1. About Navi
Navi is a CX companion knowledge base for Africa powered by CIOS technology. Navi supports users in interacting with curated customer experience knowledge and best practices through a conversational interface.
The scope of available functionality depends on the configuration and access granted to the user at any given time and may change over time.
CIOS does not guarantee the availability of any specific features or functionality.
2. Fees and Commercial Terms
Access to Navi may be provided without charging usage fees at a given point in time.
CIOS Technology AG reserves the right to introduce fees, paid features, usage limits, or other commercial terms at any time.
Any such changes apply prospectively and may require renewed user consent.
No service levels, availability commitments, or support obligations apply unless explicitly agreed in writing.
3. Nature of the Service – Human Responsibility
Navi provides informational and decision-support assistance only.
Navi is designed to support human reasoning and does not replace human judgment or decision-making.
Navi does not provide legal, financial, compliance, regulatory, or other professional advice.
All outputs generated by Navi are non-binding.
Users remain solely responsible for how outputs are interpreted, validated, and applied.
4. Acceptable Use
Users may use Navi only within the scope of the functionality made available to them and solely for personal, informational, or internal exploratory purposes.
Users must not:
use Navi or its outputs for commercial or client-facing purposes unless authorised;
access functionality not made available to them;
reverse-engineer, scrape, or bulk-extract the knowledge base, system behaviour, or outputs;
interfere with platform security or integrity;
upload or process unlawful, infringing, or unauthorised content.
CIOS is not obligated to monitor usage or content but may act where required by law or to protect the platform.
CIOS may suspend or terminate access immediately in case of misuse.
5. User Inputs
Users are solely responsible for the content they submit through Navi (for example prompts, questions, or messages) (“User Inputs”).
By submitting User Inputs, users confirm that they hold any necessary rights and permissions.
CIOS does not verify ownership or legality of User Inputs and assumes no responsibility for submitted materials.
Users agree to indemnify CIOS Technology AG against claims arising from unlawful or unauthorised User Inputs.
6. Confidentiality
Users agree to treat as confidential any non-public information obtained through the use of Navi, including information relating to Navi, its technology, operations, or other users.
Confidential information must not be disclosed or used outside the permitted use of Navi.
This obligation does not apply to information that is publicly available without breach or lawfully obtained from a third party.
Nothing in this section limits CIOS’ rights under these Terms.
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property relating to Navi and the underlying CIOS platform, including software, models, workflows, system architecture, and the structure of the knowledge base, remains the exclusive property of CIOS Technology AG.
No rights to the platform or underlying technology are transferred.
8. Platform Knowledge and System Learnings
In the course of operating Navi, CIOS generates internal system-level knowledge, including aggregated patterns, structures, and operational learnings derived from platform usage (“Platform Knowledge”), through automated and programmatic processes.
Users acknowledge that:
Platform Knowledge is created by CIOS as part of operating the platform and belongs exclusively to CIOS Technology AG;
Platform Knowledge does not include:
user-provided content submitted through Navi,
personal data, or
any information that identifies or relates to a specific user.
Platform Knowledge is strictly limited to anonymised, aggregated, and abstracted system-level information that cannot be traced back to individual users.
Platform Knowledge forms part of CIOS’ internal intellectual property.
9. External Infrastructure and Service Providers
Navi relies on external infrastructure and service providers to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the platform.
Such services may include cloud computing, data storage, security, monitoring, analytics, and processing services.
User data may be processed by such providers solely for the purpose of providing and operating Navi.
CIOS ensures appropriate contractual and technical safeguards in accordance with Swiss data-protection principles.
Processing may take place outside Switzerland.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Swiss law, CIOS excludes liability for indirect damages, loss of profit, loss of data, and business interruption.
CIOS is liable only in cases of intent or gross negligence.
11. Changes and Discontinuation
CIOS may modify, suspend, or discontinue Navi or parts thereof at any time.
12. Eligibility and Compliance
Navi may only be used by individuals with legal capacity.
Users must comply with applicable laws, including sanctions and trade restrictions.
13. Governing Law
Swiss law applies exclusively.
Exclusive jurisdiction: Switzerland.
14. Acceptance
By creating an account and selecting
“I agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy”,
you enter into a legally binding agreement with CIOS Technology AG.
